This Privacy Policy describes how Safer Rockridge, a California non-profit public benefit corporation (“Safer Rockridge”) collects and processes information through our website and the services provided by Safer Rockridge (collectively, the “Safer Rockridge Services”). We know you care how information about you is used and shared.  We appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly.  By using this website, you (each a “User” and collectively the “Users”) consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
What Personal Information Does Safer Rockridge Collect?
We receive and store information provided to us by Users in relation to the Safer Rockridge Services. This includes (without limitation): (a) your email address (if you sign up for our mailing service or send us an email), (b) your payment information (if you become a contributor, donor or sponsor), (c) information you send to us over our website communications service or directly to our email address SaferRockridge@gmail.com, (d) information you provide in connection with Safer Rockridge’s escort service, vacation watch, and alarm monitoring service, and (e) information you provide by calling our phone service.  Safer Rockridge may also obtain patrol interaction information from its patrol service only in the form of service statistics provided by the patrol service, and to handle incident-specific issues (if any) escalated by the patrol service. We might also receive information about Users from community sources in connection with the provision of the Safer Rockridge Services. The information is collectively referred to herein as “PII.”
What Do We Use Your Information For?
Safer Rockridge will never sell your PII.  We use PII solely to operate, provide, and improve the Safer Rockridge Services and to communicate with you and our contracted patrol service about the same.  Periodically, Safer Rockridge sends to Users direct communications via email (e.g., newsletters and for account support) which you can opt out of at any time. We occasionally send out surveys asking for feedback on the Safer Rockridge Services.  We might also share PII as follows:
  • Patrol Service: We contract with a patrol company to perform the Safer Rockridge Services. This third-party service provider may have access to certain PII to the extent needed to perform their functions but may not use it for any other purposes.
  • Protection of Safer Rockridge and Others: We release PII to comply with the law; and to protect the rights, property, and/or safety of Safer Rockridge, our Users, or others.
